The Role
The Management Accountant is responsible for the production of accurate management reporting information and providing support to the business.
The role requires a qualified finance professional with a strong mix of practical accounting skills, excellent spreadsheet skills and strong analytical skills.
The Responsibilities
As a commercially savvy Management Accountant, you will partner with the business to provide the following:
- Preparation of schedules for the monthly management pack;
- Provide commentary and analysis to explain monthly results and trends;
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations as part of the month end close process;
- Preparation and posting of journals into the general ledger;
- Working closely with the team to ensure all deliverables are met efficiently and accurately;
- Being responsive to answering queries and information requests from the business;
- Continue to identify process improvement/streamline opportunities; and,
- Ad hoc tasks/projects.
The Requirements
To succeed in this role, the ideal Management Accountant will possess the following as a minimum:
- CPA/CA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified;
- Aspirations towards leadership;
- Experience in construction/infrastructure is advantageous
- Intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet skills essential;
- Hands on accounting skills;
- Experienced in managing stakeholder relationships;
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills; and,
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
