Our firm provides a full range of business advisory services with particular reference to tax consulting and compliance. We are seeking a self-motivated Tax Accountant who is looking for a well-rounded role in public practice.  

We are a growing business and are open to change and ideas that will benefit our team and our clients. 

About the role

You will be working on a range of small to medium clients You will work closely with and report directly to the Partners. You will be involved in the end to end process so time management will be a strength.

The areas you will be focusing on are accounts and income tax preparation. Prior experience in audit will also be highly regarded. If you like to keep busy and work in a close knit team, we’d love to hear from you.  

We are looking for  

• Qualified or part qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years experience in accounting roles in public practice 

• Experience in audit of incorporated associations will be highly regarded  

• Knowledge of financial statements, processes and controls required to ensure accuracy and validity of results 

• Ability to apply key accounting standards and ability to interpret and apply to real situations  

• Ability to analyse situations and connect the dots between financial, commercial and strategic goals    

• Attention to detail and accuracy – instinctively looking for ways to cross check and validate output 

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to ask questions that help you understand your clients 

• Comfortable in learning new programs or software- Experience with MYOB AO and BGL is advantageous, but not essential.
