Our client, a household name and Global Search Engine Giant has a opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their team based in Pyrmont. A constant presence in the world's top places to work, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for the company others can only dream of.
As a Senior Accountant you will assist with the initial set-up of a newly incorporated company, working with legal, tax and a cross functional project team. You will also be responsible for preparing financial reports and various statutory and regulatory filings. Your strong technical background, eye for detail and practical experience will ensure that matters are dealt with in an efficient yet accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting, internal and external reporting, tax and regulatory compliance
- Support and work closely with senior management in advising on financial implications of regulatory and operational compliance
- Work with external auditors and advisors, and be responsible for accurate and timely completion of local statutory audits, tax and other statutory filings
- Coordinate with internal and external business partners (including outsourcing service provider) to implement new processes and ensure appropriate policies and controls are in place
Qualifications:
- CPA or equivalent, Big Four trained, with some experience in a multinational environment
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational companies
- Experience with management of regulatory and compliance requirements for the Philippines
- Attention to detail, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- Experience with Oracle 11i is a plus, strong computer and analytical skills including proficiency in Excel
