Role Overview
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Financial Accountant will be responsible for all month end related duties including journal posting, general ledger and bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, as well as assisting in management commentaries. Furthermore, a large part of your role will involve assisting in month-end reporting. In addition to this, you will report on performance and variance analysis, as well as compliance issues relating to taxation obligations. This Financial Accountant will also be involved in the preparation of key stakeholder reports and you will have full responsibility for master data integration to a new ERP system and be responsible for User acceptance testing.
Responsibilities
As the Financial Accountant your duties will include;
- Manage the full month-end close process
- Use SAP to drive month end through the processing and preparation of month end journals
- Ensure accurate reporting is delivered to tight deadlines
- Prepare and manage balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with key stakeholders
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this position you must be CA/CPA qualified with significant experience within a Financial Accounting role. Currently you are working with an ASX listed or a medium to large size multinational organisation. You have extensive balance sheet close experience and are comfortable with all aspects of month end close. Technically you will have excellent knowledge of General Accounting Principles as well as exposure ERP transition projects involving mass migration of data. Your verbal and written communication skills are one of your strengths and you feel confident navigating data in Excel. Exposure to a large ERP such as SAP or Oracle would be highly considered.
