Accountant – Full Time Permanent Position based in Regional Victoria, Shepparton in the Goulburn Valley

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a talented, motivated Accountant to join our team, and play a key role in the ongoing financial reporting and analysis functions within the Finance team.

The role is based at the Head office in Shepparton, in Regional Victoria and is a permanent full-time position.

Description

You will be working with the Finance and Management teams reporting directly to the Financial Controller for the Group. As the Accountant it will be expected you will complete the following tasks and responsibilities;           

The successful applicant will be a degree qualified Accountant. A CPA or CA status would be looked upon favourably. This role requires knowledge and relevant experience in the following key areas:

  • Preparation of periodic management accounts, board reports and year-end statutory accounts
  • Work with the Management and Property team on assessing and funding new sites property development and acquisitions for the group
  • Maintenance and management of IT systems and Finance software
  • Investment analysis and evaluations, forecasting and budgeting
  • Reviewing and assessing documentation associated with business transactions, insurance and finance facilities
  • Analysis and recommendations relating to the Company’s Share Portfolio
  • Strong IT skills with a capability to create value adding management tools
  • Statutory reporting and compliance activities

Profile

An outstanding applicant with experience working autonomously or in a small Finance team that demonstrate impeccable time management and organisational skills. Further to this you will be working closely alongside the management team and have excellent communication skills. To be successful you must have strong MS Excel skills and Finance software experience.
