Based in Keysborough, Victoria, we have extensive resources, technical capabilities and are well placed to undertake any furniture installation around the globe. We pride ourselves on our ability to be agile and innovative.
We are looking for an experienced financial controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, this is an all-round role that is busy and varied. Functions include:
- Manage the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Provide financial & strategic analysis reports
- Preparation of product demand forecasts
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end close process in USA/Australia
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with monthly & annual reporting requirements and tax filings in AU/USA and provide support to China operation
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Payroll (AU), Superannuation, Workers Compensation and other HR financial time-critical tasks, ensure that these are delivered in accordance with the statutory compliance within the countries we operate
- Supporting both finance and non-finance areas of the business from an accounting perspective
- Additional duties as necessary
About you
- Proven working experience as a Financial controller
- 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- CPA / CA qualified and technically astute
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent communicator
- Exposure to Netsuite (Oracle) would be an advantage
