Position Profile
This role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of all aspects of the NSW Southern Region Billing Department including leadership and management of approximately 15 staff, instituting process improvements and achievement of Ramsay Key Performance Indicators. The NSW Southern Region Billing Hub Manager will work with hospital Commercial Managers in the achievement of Ramsay cash flow targets, debtors’ collections and timely and accurate billing of patient and non-patient accounts. This position will report to the Commercial Manager of Wollongong Private Hospital with dotted lines to the Commercial Managers of Kareena Private Hospital, Southern Highlands Private Hospital, Nowra Private Hospital, Figtree Private Hospital and Lawrence Hargrave Private Hospital.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications in Administration, Business or Management
- Previous billing experience in the health care sector
- Knowledge of hospital health fund contracts
- Understanding of revenue cycle
- Experience billing and reconciling accounts
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Planning and organisational skills
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
Desirable:
- Knowledge of CMBS (Commonwealth Medicare Benefits Schedule)
- Meditech or similar patient administration software experience
- Certificate in Medical Terminology
