My client, leading insurer, seeks an Assistant Company Secretary/Governance Officer to join their team in the Sydney CBD. This role, reporting to the Special Counsel/Company Secretary, will be responsible for providing company secretariat and governance support to the Board of Directors. The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Administration and preparation of Board and Committee meetings (including attending meetings with the Company Secretary and preparing agenda, invites, minutes etc).
- Filing hard copies of ASIC and APRA forms, minutes and board papers.
- File financials and other forms with ASIC.
- Maintenance of legal register of agreements.
- Maintenance of Company Secretary and Legal Intranet pages.
- Litigation tracking.
- Other duties as required
Who we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in a secretarial, personal assistant or team assistant role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Any experience in preparing Board meeting agenda and relevant Board papers highly regarded.
- Governance or secretariat experience highly regarded.
- Paralegal experience highly regarded.
