Assistant Controller vacancy based in Western Sydney. A progressive role with potential to become FC
Your new company
Based in Greystanes (Western Sydney) this manufacturing organisation is a market leader in their field. They are a global business, operating within 30 different countries and growing year on year. The company are now looking for an Assistant Controller for the APAC region which will be part of their leadership team within finance.
Your new role
As the Assistant Controller, you will report directly to the Financial Controller on a daily basis and also manage a small team of your own. Your role will largely be revolved around driving profits for the business as well as providing financial visibility to Directors and Managers. Key responsibilities will include:
- Daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end financial processes for the APAC region to be completed on time
- Accuracy of standard costs, transfer pricing and profit eliminations of inventory for APAC
- Year-end planning bill of materials as well as annual standard cost rollovers
- Budget, forecast and variance reporting
- Business partnering with various stakeholders across multiple divisions
- Identification and implementation of processes improvements
- Fill-in for the Financial Controller in any periods of absence
What you'll need to succeed
Being a leadership role, you will have extensive knowledge within a senior finance capacity to ensure you're in a position to manage a team and hit the ground running in what will be a busy role. To ensure your ongoing success, you will have the following:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Supply chain knowledge and manufacturing experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Extensive costing knowledge
- Understanding of end-to-end concepts within a senior finance role
- Solid business partnering skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Previous management experience
- Advanced Excel skills
Ideally you will also have had exposure to Microsoft AX and TM1, however this is not essential as training can be provided.
