We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Accountant in our Sydney office.  Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for mitigating Isentia’s tax risk and ensuring tax compliance.

What you will do in this role?

• Provide meaningful analysis on the movement of all tax accounts including tax expense, tax payable, and deferred tax assets/liabilities.
• Lodge all indirect tax filling including BAS for Isentia’s Australia and New Zealand business
• Calculate and provides income tax provision and the full tax reconciliation for Isentia Australia and New Zealand on a monthly basis
• Prepare the annual Income Tax return for Isenita Australia consolidated tax group and Isentia New Zealand
• Assist the Group Financial Controller in developing and implementing Isentia’s tax strategy and risk management framework around tax
• Apply any major tax legislation changes to Isentia operation
• Detect and escalate any potential tax risks
• Provide group audit support and assists with internal audit matters
   

As a successful candidate, who are you?

• ​Detail focused with an eye for accuracy
• At least 3 year’s tax consulting/audit experience within a Big4 accounting firm
• Able to work autonomously or as part of a team and deliver results to strict deadlines.
• An excellent problem solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Customer focused, and pride yourself in providing professional service
• An effective team member who is able to communicate and contribute to a high performing team
• Motivated with an eagerness to learn and develop
