State Government Department seeking an experienced, high volume payroll officer for an ongoing temp contract
Your new company
Our client is a reputable State Government department based in Townsville CBD. With an established and knowledgeable team, this organisation manages high volume payroll for various Queensland State Government bodies.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer in a collaborative team, you will be responsible for the execution of end to end payroll covering: starters, finishers, calculation of leave and tax, month end processing and reconciliation's, as well as servicing ongoing payroll queries and managing internal stakeholder relationships. You will have to manage your own portfolio and the payroll will be processed on a weekly or fortnightly basis for both casual and permanent employees
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience processing high volume, end to end payroll
- Strong, efficient, accurate data entry skills
- An ability to effectively and articulately communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous exposure to Aurion or a similar software package
- Intermediate to Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to salary packaging would be advantageous
- Immediate availability or short notice is required
