DBM VirCon  seeks to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at our corporate office in Brisbane, Australia. DBM VirCon is a global Building Information Modeling (BIM), Steel Detailing and Rebar Detailing firm with a long record of iconic projects through its wholly own global firms- BDS VirCon (www.bdsvircon.com), PDC (www.pdcgroup.com) and Candraft (www.candraft.com). Critical to the needs of our executive team, the CFO is responsible for overall leadership and management of  the financial / accounting and fiscal management aspects of the company’s operations globally, to achieve optimum profitability and effective use of the company assets. Principle Accountabilities and Deliverables (not an all-inclusive list of duties/expectations)

• Provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring achievement of DBM VirCon current and future financial objectives and strategy.
• Ensure DBM VirCon accounting and operations teams and DBM VirCon operational business partner’s financial information needs are met by providing complete, accurate, and relevant information in a timely manner.
• Provide management leadership and guidance to the Finance Team, fostering a continuous improvement culture, optimizing workflow and systems, and developing a highly effective team.
• Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company including accounting, budgeting, statutory reporting, and tax planning.
• Engage in any merger or acquisition activities as and when required to ensure appropriate financial, accounting, commercial and risk due diligence is performed. Further, ensure integration of any acquisition into DBM VirCon’s standard processes.
• Review and monitor financial aspects of business development opportunities and ensure alignment with the overall strategic plans.
• Ensure compliance with the group’s financial, tax and corporate obligations across its global operations spanning nine countries.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with statutory and tax requirements in all international operational centers as well as accounting standards generally accepted in the United States (GAAP).
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and reports.
• Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses reports and recommendations.
• Ensure company-wide financial operating is compliant with Corporate Delegation of Authority policy.
• Travel as required, including international travel related to projects.

Requisite Experience and Qualifications

• Degree qualified accountant with CPA or CA
• A minimum of fifteen years recent relevant  experience
• Experience with a multinational and exposure to US GAAP and Asia will be an advantage
• Must have the right to live and work in Australia
