The Organisation 
 
Our client, a market leading telecommunications services organisation has an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic Group Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing team and business. Reporting and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Financial Controller will assist in developing the commercial support finance offers to the business; and the underpinning reporting and systems. The role will provide strategic support across the business to support optimal business decision making. 
 
The Role 
 
The Financial Controller will be responsible for management and oversight over all internal and external financial reporting requirements, ongoing improvement over systems, processes and procedures. In this role, you will manage a team of five and will have key responsibility for the annual audit and budget. 
 
Essentially, you will be responsible for the following:
 

• Manage and deliver key financial reporting and analysis with a high level of  integrity, transparency, accuracy, cooperation and timeliness
• Provide commentary on monthly and annual results to ensure that the management team are well informed of the current trading results
• Manage the audit process, facilitating auditor requirements, fielding questions and ensuring the process is completed in a timely manner
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and provide guidance to team on these matters as required
• Ensure financial and accounting policies and procedures are effectively developed, clearly documented and regularly updated
• Manage a team of 5 and provide a safe and secure working environment for your team that complies with company policies and procedures
• Document & regularly review internal processes
• Identify and implement process or system improvements

 
 
You 
 
The highly-desired background to be successful in this role includes the following key characteristics;
 

• Proven experience with track record in financial accounting, financial analysis and monitoring, risk assessment and commercial acumen 
• A professional background and minimum of 10 years Finance Management
• Demonstrate an ability to work with a diversity of people across all organizational levels and multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
• Sound people management skills and experience.
