Burn the Books provides bookkeeping services to doctors and medical practices across Australia. A career opportunity exists for a motivated Bookkeeper to join our bookkeeping team in Eagle Farm.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT CANDIDATES HAVE A FULL WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF XERO, MICROSOFT EXCEL AND MICROSOFT OUTLOOK. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE THESE SKILLS.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Reconcilliation of accounts in Xero
- PAYG preparation and lodgement
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- Preparation of payroll
- Undertake banking and other duties for collection and receipting
- Liaise with external clients
- EOM and EOY reporting
- Bank Reconciliations
- General office and administrative duties
The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Firm understanding of bookkeeping and/or accounting principles
- Hold a relevant Certificate or designation
- Registration as a BAS agent would be highly regarded
- Strong working experience with Xero
- Intermediate level skills in Excel and Outlook
- Love working with clients and keeping clients happy
- High standard of attention to detail
- Have a burning desire to balance accounts correctly
- Strong skills in written and spoken English
