An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. 

The Senior FP&A Analyst will report directly into the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and will help drive illion's financial monthly forecasts, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects.  The role will also provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing monthly management accounts, monthly KPIs, board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis and acquisition analysis

The FP&A function operates through an integrated business partner approach and works closely with the business to provide commercial insight to support optimal business decision making.   

As the Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst you will be required to:

• Work with key stakeholders to understand key business drivers of revenue, costs and capital expenditure and use this knowledge to identify future opportunities and issues so that appropriate action can be taken in advance;
• Maintain, update and continuing development of the company's financial models, gathering inputs and understanding from commercial teams in the business how the company is evolving and how the financial model can be updated to reflect changes in the business;
• Support the annual Budget / Planning cycle, work closely with the business to develop an accurate Budget using driver based models;
• Develop and enhance Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modelling tools;
• Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports, including board reports;
• Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in internally developed technology and capital programs;
• Develop/adapt existing financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives;
• Support key projects across the business (Technology focus) including internally developed products and platforms, perform ROI calculations and help to develop business cases;
• Analyse complex information and help the business to understand and interpret financial information to enable management to plan, evaluate, control and enhance performance of their areas of responsibility in the business;
• Support the business in the use of the system through developing relevant, system driven dashboard and management accounting reports that can be readily accessed and understood by the business managers;

To be successful in this role, you will be results driven, have strong commercial acumen, can operate under limited resource capacity and to tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will also havethe following experience and skills:

•   4-8 years business and/or  finance experience, including 4 - 5 years forecasting, analysis and modeling experience
•   Able to explain complex finance concepts and data in simple, commercial terms;
•   Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills;
•   Ability to analyse large data sets and translate the data into meaningful messages, action items and communications (verbal, written and numerical);
•   Effective and clear communication skills (verbal and written) to all levels of stakeholders;
•   Willingness to achieve as part of a team;
•   A high standard of time management, flexibility and multi-tasking skills
