An exciting opportunity to join the Corporate segment in the newly created role of Commercial Analyst - Corporate.
Located in South Melbourne and reporting to the GM Finance - Corporate and partnering with the Group General Manager - Corporate in Melbourne, the role will provide business modelling, analysis and reporting for the Corporate segment, currently incorporating QBT, APX, AOT Corporate and Go C&I.
Through your commercial acumen and enquiring, analytical mind, you will deliver insights to both support and challenge the business to help drive improved profitability. Key focuses will be pricing, margins, KPI/goals tracking and supplier contract performance.
Key Deliverables are as follows:
- Business partnering with the GGM – Corporate and GMs, Sales and Account Management across the Corporate segment to analyse business performance and provide critical insight.
- Providing financial modelling and analysis to support business development initiatives.
- Supporting the setting and tracking of KPIs, including the Goals Scorecards, to help ensure the achievement of targets.
- Ownership of the Pricing Model.
- Responsible for price positioning analysis, including collection of competitive intelligence, development of value proposition and recommendations for price level ensuring consistent pricing strategies across all customer segments to mitigate conflict and margin risk.
- Customer Fee margin analysis.
- Supplier contract performance, Hotel attachment and Marketing ROI.
- Assist with decision making across Sales and Account Management growth initiatives including competitor benchmarking.
- Provide strategic input and assist in the preparation and development of the Annual Budget and Business Plan.
To succeed you will be a positive person with a love of data and an ability to turn large volumes of data into meaningful management information. You are a proactive person, can start with a blank piece of paper and want to add value through your business insights. You are a good listener, personable and able to work and communicate with people at all levels in the organisation. You keep things simple whilst aiming to make them world class. Ideally you will be a CPA or CA professional; most certainly you will have excellent data manipulation and reporting writing skills, including advanced Excel and financial modelling experience.
