About the role
My client is looking for a Financial Accountant with strong tax experience as you will be responsible for the tax effect accounting. You will work closely with the Financial Controller as well as the Tax Manager in investigating and communicating the accounting standards for tax the tax team.
Duties include:
- Analysis financial records, systems and budgets
- Analyse and collect data to find possible tax deductions or exemptions
- Prepare the annual income tax return for Australia consolidated tax group
- Provide group audit support and assists with internal audit matters
- Asset and Tax management
- Transfer pricing
- Direct and indirect tax
- Contribute to month end reporting and review various balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with various ad hoc projects and reports as required by Global Tax
- Be proactive to find and generate the information needed by local management, international team and tax advisor
The successful candidate:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Candidates must come from a Big 4/ Second tier background
- Experience on direct taxes in a Multinational company and big Australian group
- Experience in indirect taxes
- Preferred US GAAP tax accounting experience (not essential)
