ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, as the Commercial Analyst you will be responsible for a broad range of financial tasks such as end to end budgeting, forecasting and in depth analysis combined with commentary. You will be involved in a number of value add projects whilst working with numerous stakeholders across the company.

DUTIES

• Establish and maintain company financial policies, procedures and controls;
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Budgets, Variance Analysis and Commentaries/Recommendations, KPI reporting, Modelling and Management Reports;
• Analyse financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business strategies, planning and forecasts;
• Ensure spending is kept in line with budgets/forecasts through development and maintaining of procedures;
• Lead and manage key projects to drive business outcomes;
• Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions;
• Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers;
• Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advise ways of improving business performance;
• Provide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions’
• Conduct financial and cost accounting responsibilities;
• Present to Senior Management team; and
• Conduct Ad-hoc finance tasks and projects.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

• Be tertiary qualified in Accounting and be CPA/CA qualified;
• Possess intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills;
• Have outstanding interpersonal, management and relationship building skills;
• Have a proven background in Financial Analysis/Management Accounting;
• Be familiar with financial ERP system(s) and reporting tools;
• Be familiar with Financial and Cost Accounting tasks;
• Drive to assist and support business stakeholders;
• Display a continuous improvement mindset;
• Demonstrate an Ability to prioritize and self-motivate and;
• Possess excellent presentation skills.
