The company: Based in the Hills district, our client is a national business currently turning over $250m annually. They are importers/distributors of construction related products and equipment, which has seen their top line revenue boom in recent years. They have also recently embarked upon a company wide drive to enhance all finance processes & procedures including reviewing Accounts Payable processes. 

The role: Due to upcoming annual leave, you will step in to take over the entire Accounts Payable function for the company. Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Accounts Payable officer you will be responsible for:

• Processing roughly 50 - 60 invoices on a daily basis
• Match, batch & code invoices to the GL
• Set up new vendors in the system
• Produce & send ETF payments on a weekly basis
• Resolve supplier/ branch manager issues on accounts
• Reconcile all supplier accounts on a weekly basis
• Review & pay staff expenses and corporate credit cards
• Suggest ideas to improve current processes/ proceedures

This is an ideal opportunity for an Accounts Payable officer with ideas on how to improve Accounts Payable processes and procedures to add some value in a short space of time. 

The candidate: To be considered for this standout opportunity, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer with the following skills & experience:

• A minimum 3 years full function Accounts Payable experience
• High levels of customer service & verbal communication skills
• A track record of suggesting process improvements within Accounts Payable
• A strong work ethic and a team player mentality
• Your own transport is recommended
• Working hours 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who is looking for a long term role but is available immediately for short term work. Depending on your results during the 6 week assignment, there is a strong chance you will be asked to stay long term.
