As part of the business strategy our company is in growth mode and with that have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant.
The Role
An exciting opportunity now exists for an ambitious, professional and highly motivated individual to join a well-established Finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be required to be a proactive accountant controlling and managing Financial Accounting & Reporting, Budgeting and Taxation functions for the company.
Your Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate management of financial reporting
- Preparation of head office budgets and budget packs
- Ensuring tax compliance and reporting, including BAS, FBT and assist external auditors and other advisers
- Lead and develop a team with 4 direct reports. Recruit top performers, developing existing staff and managing performance to ensure highest levels of productivity
- Providing analysis and commentary to the Financial reports
- Bank reconciliations, managing transfers and payments, and managing cash flow funding for operational and capex decisions
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns as required
- Drive efficiency improvements in line with best practices and group practices
About You

In order to be successful in this role you are required to:
- Be degree qualified in Accounting or Business with post graduate qualification as CA, CPA or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience post qualification in a financial or managerial accounting position with staff responsibility
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Results oriented
- Rational decision making
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a multi-site network business preferred
