A position has arisen for a high achieving Management Accountant to join the Boral National Roofing and Masonry Business based out of our Pooraka SA office.  We are seeking a proactive, engaging and experienced individual to join our Finance team where this excellent opportunity will allow you to partner with the Roofing & Masonry business across 6 national manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Manufacturing and inventory accounting
• Preparing and modelling standard costs for budget purposes and analysis against monthly manufacturing results, including root cause analysis, improvement identification and implementation and scenario modelling for various manufacturing drivers and inputs
• Undertake analysis and review monthly variances for 6 manufacturing plants across 5 physical sites
• Inventory accountability (stocktakes, obsolescence reviews etc)
• Month end analysis
• Journal preparation
• Lead the budget and forecast preparation process, including modelling, scenario analysis and reporting
• Provide commercial support to the National Finance Manager
• Leading inventory accountability through responsibility for planning and coordinating regular stocktakes across 5 national sites, analyse variances for cause and improvement opportunities participation, proactive improvement to efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare monthly manufacturing financial reports
• Provide detailed review of raw material usage, labour variances, and overhead utilisation.
• Proactively review and implement internal controls and participate in the audit process
• Develop a deep working knowledge of the Roofing & Masonry Business focusing on management accounting to support strategic decision making and identify opportunities for improvement. 
• Maintain and promote a healthy working environment and ensure adherence to Boral policies, particularly safety.

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Be degree qualified in a business discipline with CA/CPA qualifications (or nearing completion).
• 3+ years management accounting experience (or a similar discipline such as financial modelling and analysis)
• Be experienced in supporting senior managers, using initiative to drive results and improvements.
• Be an excellent communicator and have the ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Be results driven and able to demonstrate a high level of initiative.
• Be a team player with a desire to support Accounting/Finance team in achieving its objectives.
• Have a willingness and ability to work in a demanding, constantly changing environment.
• Have advanced Excel modelling and formula skills (required).
• Have exposure to a major financial system (Epicor is desirable).
• Google sheets and Python experience highly regarded
