The Company
A leading Financial Services business who are forward thinking and innovative in their approach are looking to recruit a Project Finance Analyst/Manager to work on an exciting new large scale project.
The Role
The role provides governance, reporting and delivery support for enterprise suite of projects to ensure the money invested in projects deliver the best outcomes for customers and shareholders. The role works in partnership with PMO Office, the Finance team, including the Head of Portfolio Finance & Benefits Governance, to provide an Enterprise PMO capability for the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide portfolio reporting and analytics, and support the Governance and FSR processes
- To ensure projects establish and maintain conditions for effective program initiation and management, leveraging project management methodology
- To support the business by ensuring a portfolio system exists that manages and mitigates strategic, operational and project risks, including delivery of business line roadmaps and key governance forums
- Partner with Finance to ensure capital investment in projects is clearly aligned to strategy and rigorously track and manage project spend to ensure effective capital use and appropriate return
- Provide portfolio financial tracking and analytics across the portfolio, the business and stakeholder groups
- To review and raise awareness of any issues related to benefit realisation across the projects aligned with the portfolio
- Initiate and maintain portfolio scheduling and milestone reporting across the portfolio of projects, the business and stakeholder groups
- To review and raise awareness of data quality, issues or gaps across the projects aligned with the portfolio
- Work with Portfolio Manager to ensure alignment to strategic initiatives with a strong customer focus in the annual project prioritisation planning cycle
- Manage key stakeholders in the PMO office and the business
- Guide and provide project assurance for key projects.
Skills and criteria:
- Degree qualified - Accounting, Commerce or equivalent
- CPA/CA/PMP or equivalent desirable
- 7+ years end-to-end complex Project Finance/Program PMO Experience
- Strong experience managing Project Financials including Opex, Capex & Project Financial Analysis
- Financial Services or Technology industry experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Portfolio Management principles, approaches, techniques and tools
- Sound understanding of business strategy and architecture principles
- Proven results in large and or complex scale change
- Proven experience in developing an innovation pipeline and effecting breakthrough change.
- Strong senior/executive stakeholder management.
