About the role
This role is to lead and motivate a highly effective and efficient operational team to deliver an exceptional level of service to our clients. To manage the allocation of work and performance of teams providing Outsourced Administration services to Fund Managers.
This person will be accountable for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all Managed Fund Administration functions, and be the champion for change within the business unit and support the General Manager of Managed Funds Outsourcing in growing Funds under Administration, managing relationships and be the business owner for Link?s Unit Registry system.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all transactions are processed within the time frames provided as outlined in Client Service Level Agreements
  • Develop and manage key internal and external relationships in a professional manner at all times.
  • Promote a culture of continuous process improvement, team spirit and exceptional client service
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all client requirements and to ensure effective management/utilisation of all resources under your control in an efficient manner at all times
  • Development and management of operational/efficiency KPI?s
  • Manage, develop and train staff in accordance with our objectives and core values of Link at all times, contributing to succession planning and individual career development
  • Monitor and manage team and individual performance, completing the performance management process as required
  • Initiate and contribute to the review, development and implementation of technologies or work practices where appropriate
  • Provide management with feedback/analysis/reporting on team performance, resource utilisation and performance against budget.
  • Effectively coordinate and/or resolve any escalated issues and/or client feedback or complaints.
  • Apply procedures and understand and communicate business risks as they apply to each situation
  • Participate in tenders for new business including presentations on Operations processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that resources and costs remain within budget at all times
  • Facilitate/participate in various team, project and management meetings as required
  • Any other duties as requested/directed by the General Manager, Managed Funds Outsourcing.

  • Accurate, efficient and timely processing, through leadership, coaching and development of the extended management team
  • Procedures and policies being agreed upon and adhered to
  • Introduction of new processes to increase efficiency profitability
  • Teamwork actively displayed within all Operational Services teams, between Operational Services teams and other divisions
  • Accurate and timely management reporting
  • Consistent delivery of a ?premium service?
  • Successful communication with staff to ensure their understanding of their role, their learning and development requirements to facilitate the business in meeting its needs and objectives
  • Meet all deadlines and agreed client outcomes

About you

  • Essential Skills, Capabilities and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years? experience managing a medium to large size teams
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a diverse team to achieve business objectives
  • Strong management skills including leadership, performance management, coaching/mentoring, career/succession planning and motivation
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including the concept of shareholder value
  • Proven experience leading cultural change and fostering a culture of continuous process improvement
  • High-level business liaison skills, with experience in dealing with the highest levels of management
  • Experience in identifying and managing risk
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational and problem solving skills including root cause analysis
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • General technical competence and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Flexibility - able to meet demanding deadlines and work long hours to meet those deadlines, as required
  • Demonstrated experience in/knowledge of the financial markets including Legislative requirements and Corporations Law.
  • Tertiary qualification in business/financial industry.
