The Business Analyst plays a key role in providing financial and analytical analysis and reporting as required by the business.  The role has responsibility for financial reporting, forecasting and budget management across the Distribution Centre.

  • Prepare DC budgets

  • Investigate and resolve any finance related queries by undertaking appropriate investigations

  • Prepare weekly and monthly finance reports including highlighting and understanding any significant discrepancies

  • Prepare analysis of finances in relation to projects (ie. DC enterprise agreement negotiations)

  • Complete forecasting reports as required

  • To continually develop and implement processes that monitor DC operating and transport costs and identify slippage against budgeted performance.

  • Manage the DC, and secondary freight budgeting and business planning process

  • Manage and control the asset registers within the DC.

  • Manage the month end accounting process for the DC.

  • Monitor and measure capital expenditure spends across the DC to ensure the spend is controlled to within budgeted levels.

  • Provide reports and analysis to enable decisions to be made by DC Management Team

  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of DC financials.

  • Develop and manage processes to provide an accurate DC forecast.

  • Provide financial decision support as and when required by the management team.

  • Undertake various activities required as the DC finance representative.

  • Proactively share information and educate staff to build DC business capability

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • CPA or CA qualified

  • Degree within Finance, Accounting or equivalent

  • Experience in or understanding of Supply Chain operations

  • Planning and problem solving skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong focus on continuous improvement

  • Planning, organising and problem solving skills
