EPMO Portfolio Finance Manager  - Contract (12 months)
  
Our client is a reputable company recognised for their high-quality products and financial services.  The success of the growing business has been led by a visionary management team who seek a dynamic strategic finance professional to provide effective project portfolio financial control, strong leadership and reporting functions to support their ongoing success.
  
 
The Job
 
Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise PMO and engaging directly with Project Leaders and EPMO Team members you will provide management of the change portfolio budget, project accounting support and consultative advice whilst adhering to all required frameworks.
  
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the project portfolio financial controls to ensure on-going strategic alignment of the full Opex and Capex Project Investment Portfolio to meet business requirements and managing the EPMO finance and resource management team.  You will also review and improve the existing project processes and procedures for budgeting, financial control, and cost tracking, including invoice and purchase order management, as well as project and cost centre, reporting.
  
Your focus will be on regular analysis, providing expert financial advice to the EPMO and project leaders regarding their project budgets, developing processes to fulfill the internal financial reporting needs and assisting projects with forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure meaningful and realistic budgets and accurate forecasts are set.
  
The Successful Applicant
 
It is imperative you are able to build strong relationships with Planning and Transformation teams, Project Managers and key project leaders to gain trust across the network as well as being a trusted financial advisor and leader.
Essential experience
  • Min 3 years in managing and leading a team as part of an EPMO or large IT co.
  • Min 5 years of project accounting experience, or as a financial analyst in the financial services industry
  • CPA or Equiv.
  • Project Accounting, management reporting, and planning
  • Producing reports, analysis, and commentary for senior management
  • Driving Financial process improvement and implementation
  • Managing systems integration
  • Managing meetings, workshops, steering committee briefing etc.
  • Effectively managing tasks in a high-pressure environment
You will be a highly motivated and hands-on leader with and have superior communication skills that allow you to build open relationships. You will possess strong SAP & Excel skills and a passion to mentor and have the proven ability to influence and make decisions that support business growth and outcomes.
 
The Benefits
 
This is a contracted position for approx. 12 months possibly longer offering an attractive daily/hourly rate.
