Manager Tax and Business Services working for a Mid-tier firm in Perth

Your new company
This well established and highly reputable mid-tier accounting firm and one of the most successful in their field. Due to growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Manager to manage their team in tax and business services.

Your new role

• Preparation and review to completion of financial statements, income tax, fringe benefits and goods and services
• Preparation and review of tax planning or general tax advice using best practice
• Preparation and completion of individual tax returns whilst interviewing client
• Preparation and review of asset registers, depreciation scheduled and all associated work papers to ensure a minimum standard of compliance is maintained
• Ensure that research is undertaken as required in preparation of the clients work
• Responsible for the development of junior employees, including the provision of regular feedback and strong coaching and reviewing of work to motivate and improve performance
• Responsible for completion of staff reviews
• Allocation of work to accountants, graduates and administration staff in a fair manner
• Contribution to junior accountant's employee training through sharing technical knowledge both on the job and through developing and delivering structured training sessions.
• Overall responsibility for the supervision of accountants and graduate accountants to ensure their work is completed and delivered in the order or priority to ensure excellent service to clients at all times

What you'll need to succeed

• 8+ years experience in business advisory and tax
• 12+ months management experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong track record in managing staff
