We're seeking a Business Analyst

As the Business Analyst you will be primarily responsible for acting as a key business partner to deliver strong commercial insight and understanding towards achieving strategic and operational business outcomes and improvements. This includes providing assistance with the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management reports, forecasting, budgeting and detailed cost analysis for the business. Communication with business stakeholders and other finance team members is an important part of this role as is the need to take ownership and responsibility for outcomes.
 
This role offers a base salary of $85,000 per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) plus superannuation contributions of 9.5%. The role is eligible to access a 19 day month rostered day off system as part of its employment package.
 
To be considered for this role you must be able to address the following essential selection criteria:
 

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or an equivalent related discipline
• Completed (or commenced studies for) CPA or CA designation
• Solid experience in management accounting/business analysis including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and variance analysis
• Proven experience partnering with business areas to drive strategic priorities through strong advice, analysis and insight
• Sound understanding of commercial business practices and principles including a proven ability to influence strong commercial outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a deadline driven workplace and to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst still meeting team and corporate deadlines
• Substantial knowledge of accounting policies and practices
• Proven high level conceptual and analytical skills including a high level of proficiency in MS Excel and computer based financial systems
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with strong customer focus and a proven desire to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of professionals
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a results driven focus
