ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

A fast growing company based in Paddington Sydney involved in finance, investments and not-for profit organisations.
The Role
We are seeking a person with accounting experience to support finance team with portfolio administration processes and accounting duties which include:
- Responsible for accounts payable/receivable and payroll
- Responsible for bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations
- Co-ordinating bank accounts process for numerous entities
- Prepare accounts for GST & payroll tax returns for group companies
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Maintain fixed asset registry
- Assist in share portfolio administration and reporting
- Assist in preparing management reports and day to day activities
- Assist with annual external audit and financial reporting
- Data entry and assist with ad hoc projects as and when required
The primary requirements are:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an all-round accounting role
- Fast accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Well-developed IT knowledge and skills
- MS office, XERO and MYOB experience is necessary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic, eager to learn and demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile.
