With a thriving brand and exemplary reputation, this high profile organisation continues to increase market share through organic growth and as such are looking to recruit a Senior Tax Analyst to support senior business stakeholders.
Description
The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for the completion of tax obligations for legal entities within Australia and New Zealand including corporate tax returns, Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns. In addition, this role will provide assistance improving and creating value to internal and external customers. Key duties of the role are highlighted below:
- Ensuring Australian and New Zealand tax returns are prepared and completed accurately and lodged with appropriate authorities in a timely manner; this includes corporate tax returns, FBT returns, GST returns and withholding tax returns
- Ensuring tax calculations are accurate and comply with the relevant tax legislation
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of an effective process to ensure compliance with Australian & New Zealand tax legislation, policies and procedures.
- Prepare the reconciliations of tax records for review by the company auditors and our international head company
- Ensuring the businesses taxation remittances and record keeping obligations are met
- Acting as liaison with relevant tax authorities (where required)
Profile
- Completed professional certification in accounting, CA or CPA
- 3 + years large corporate tax/chartered tax experience with exposure to financial reporting
- Extensive experience analysing technical tax legislation
- Strong communication skills to manage internal and possibly, external clients. This includes communicating tax concepts in an easy to understand/practical manner
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with a focus on results and business solutions
