The Company:  
Our Client is a media company who is growing in size and are looking for a junior accounts payable officer who is energetic, bubbly and eager to learn. 

The role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will join a friendly, helpful team of 5 in finance and learn every aspect of the job from scratch if necessary. You will begin with learning MYOB before moving into invoice processing, coding to the GL, preparing payment runs and resolving supplier queries. Eventually you will become a full function Accounts Payable officer who is skilled in the following duties:

• Manage the accounts payable processing system 
• Maintain accurate and up to date information in the Vendor address book (Master file)
• Monthly reporting as required
• Process invoices via the Basware system.
• Record manual payments for manual cheque payments which includes Petty Cash etc into accounting system
• Ensure creditor account enquiries (both internal and external) are answered in a timely and professional manner
• Process EFT, B-Pay, Staff expense reimbursement and cheque payments and ensure all submissions have been authorised by the appropriate managers.
• Provide advice to treasury regarding the required funds for the payment runs
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc or project tasks as required

The candidate: We are looking for a very bright, switched on and ambitious individual who has a passion to learn Accounts Payable and develop their career. To be considered for this opportunity we will consider the following background/ experience:

• 6-12 Months Accounts Payable experience (or none at all!)
• TAFE Certificate in Accounting/or Degree in Accounting
• A passion to learn Accounts Payable
• The ability to listen and learn!
• A positive, helpful attitude
• A willingness to do the most basic of duties if required

The position is a permanent role paying a base salary of $50,000-$53,000 + super depending on your experience.
