Divisional Accountant / Finance Business Partner

About the role:

Deliver the management accounts, budgets and forecasts of the Divisions. Co-ordinate and improve the financial accounting processes, assist the planning and implementation of systems and conduct process change to improve business outcomes and financial integrity.

• Financial and management reporting including analysis of results.
• Lead or assist with the budget and forecast preparation to ensure that the process from the initial template stage to the final writing of the CFO report runs smoothly and on time.
• Critically analyse the budgets and forecasts for accuracy and integrity
• Update the forecasts monthly to provide to management forward projections
• Oversee changes in asset management such as disposal or location, and the addition of new purchases.
• Consult with General Managers and other department managers on specific projects that involve any analysis, calculations or other financial considerations to ensure information is provided in an accurate and timely manner and assist in the decision making process, in collaboration with the Manager Financial Accounting.
• Assist with the compilation of strategic asset management plans (capital and operational).
• Work on special projects as assigned including: Implementations, Report Specs and development of policies and procedures.
• Manage year end tasks required for statutory accounting with regards to property including all reconciliations, accruals and provisions.

About you:

• Degree in Business, Commerce or Economics; and
• Member of a professional body (CA, CPA, ICANZ)
• Experience in management accounting and analysis
• Experience in project costing
• Understanding and experience in financial asset management and costing
• Minimum 5 years' experience post professional qualifications
• Strong problem solving skillset to successfully identify problems, develop solutions and implement these using a logical and systematic approach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team, manager and customers
• Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel
• Strong ERP exposure, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX
