Job Description

We are seeking a full time, experienced Payroll Officer to join out National Finance team based in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. We are looking for a proactive and innovative person who is always on top of their workload and finds new ways to improve processes.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide end to end payroll service to the organisation 
• Manage fortnightly payroll function and all related tasks. 
• Payroll administration - new employee set up, terminations, employee changes and responding to management and employee queries
• Assist where required with a range of HR related functions including generating employment documentation and general HR administration 
• Ensure all internal and external clients are given excellent service and that a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is maintained at all times. 

Skills & Abilities: 

• Micropay Meridian experience is preferred 
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Excellent Excel skills 
• High attention to detail
• Track record of involvement in making improvements to payroll controls and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective working internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of National Employment Standards.
• Relevant education and qualifications for this role
