Due to growth and internal restructuring, we are currently seeking applications from highly skilled Cost Controllers to join our Finance Team in our Perth Head Office. This position is Monday- Friday, 38 hours per week with additional hours as required.

To be considered for a role it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years proven previous experience as a Cost Controller or similar appointment in the Mining sectors
  • Ability to identify and tackle problems using a diversity of standard methods, demonstrating judgement in selecting, classifying, and analyzing data from different sources
  • Ability to manipulate data via use of Excel and spreadsheets will be essential to this role as is experience using accounting / finance systems.
  • Highly effective communication skills and ability to develop and present reports and analysis at all levels, including presentations to senior management.
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels in an informative and positive manner
  • Extreme attention to detail


Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Control and monitor company expenditure.
  • Verification of claims from suppliers/agencies/sub-contractors.
  • Scheduling and monitoring.
  • Coordinate and work with the Mobilisation team & resolve and identify discrepancies
  • Ensure relevant contracts and jobs are set up fully in required electronic systems enabling timely invoicing, cost monitoring and control (Budget vs Actuals)
  • Ensure timesheet and invoice accuracy
  • Identify recurring non-recoverable costs and report to manager
  • Coordinate client timesheet submission
  • Monitor to ensure invoicing meets monthly deadlines
  • Assist with administration, data entry workforce planning during major shut downs and projects
