Cleanworks Australia is an established Commercial Cleaning Company specialising in delivering cleaning services to Private Schools, Aged Care, Offices and Industrial facilities throughout SEQ.

Cleanworks Australia is seeking an experienced Part-Time Finance Accountant to assist the Managing Director on all financial and management accounting matters of the business.  This is a broad role working with a dedicated and passionate team where you will be exposed to all facets of the organisation.

Job Purpose

The Finance Accountant is accountable for managing the finance function, and specifically focuses on:   

• Managing the day-to-day financial accounting duties, including the provision of accurate, timely reports to management and compliance with statutory obligations
• Completion and oversight of the payroll process
• Managing staff involved in finance, and accounting
• Managing cash flow management and budgeting
• Managing job cost functions
• Overseeing development of month end accounting and reporting to Contract Managers, Management and the Board, monitoring the performance, accuracy and quality of reports produced  
• Preparing all statutory returns and ensuring taxation liabilities are met in full
• Maintain the company insurance coverage and certification
• Managing fixed assets

Permanent part -time role.  2 days per week and 3 days at month end

Required Experience:            

• Degree or equivalent qualifications in Accounting or Finance and CPA or CA qualification
• Minimum of 7 years practical experience in the management of company financials for a business, embracing management reporting and budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial statement preparation, key trend analysis, financial project costing and statutory submissions
• Thorough knowledge on financial accounting principles with experience preparing 3-way forecasts, month-end results and reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to analyse all aspects of the Company’s performance and the ability to formulate innovative solutions
• Service industry experience preferred in particular experience and knowledge of job costing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong personal organisational skills, the ability to undertake several tasks concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines
• Sound written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and the capacity to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
• Experience in maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in processing personnel information, payroll and dealing with sensitive issues and documents
• Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop a team to work effectively with other staff and deliver results
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as an effective leader
• Experience in the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures in order to create a well organised work environment with standard operating procedures
