About the Company:
Due to the significant growth, our client are now seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team. An award-winning mining magnate, this would be a great opportunity for career development and growth working with a reputable organisation.
About the Role:
This Senior Payroll Officer will have accounting experience along with being tertiary qualified and be responsible for payroll, along with other end to end accounting and administration duties.
Duties:
- Ensure Outsource provider is provided all employee maintenance information in relation to new, current and terminated employees
- Liaise with Outsource Provider as soon as wages data entry of hours worked (Time Capture Team Wages) has been finalised
- Enter one off payments for staff
- Review Payroll for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure costing files are promptly uploaded into JDE
- Provide redundancy quotes as requested
- Working to strict deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Excel, Word and Outlook are essential and Access is desirable
- Five (5) years payroll experience including interpretation of awards and EBA's in a diverse environment
- Exposure to Aurion HRIS is desirable or a similar computerised pay system is essential.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve
