Sphere Healthcare is a leading Australian-owned contract manufacturer of Complementary Healthcare Products, based in Sydney with easy access to major motorways.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced accountant, who is looking to polish their career.  Reporting to our Senior Accountant you will play a key part in the accounting team and across the organization as a whole.

 

With your CA/CPA qualification, or aspiration to do so, you will have excellent attention to detail, a positive and motivated approach to your work and a desire to continue learning.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required in order to build relationships with key internal stakeholders.  Your solid IT skills and high degree of proficiency in ERP systems and Excel will ensure you are successful.

 

You will also be responsible for:

  • Daily maintenance of debtor finance facility
  • Sundry invoices and credit notes
  • Full function accounts receivable including daily cash receipting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including maintenance of asset register
  • Daily bank reconciliation and related journal entries
  • Update Short Term Cashflow
  • Preparation and posting journals
  • Providing assistance with Accounts Payable when required
  • Expense and overhead analysis
  • Assist with Inventory, Costing and Pricing 
  • Assisting in the management of department KPI’s

 

 

Skill Requirements Include:

  • Business/Commerce Degree or studying towards
  • 2-3 years experience in commercial accounting or related
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards
  • Experience with larger ERP systems, Excel with preference for SAP knowledge  
  • Proven ability to take complicated information and communicate effectively
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Pro-active, high initiative and highly organized
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and improve efficiencies
  • Time management skills to achieve deadlines, work under conflicting time pressures

 

 

Good written and verbal communication skills together with knowledge of basic computer work, could make you the successful candidate for this role.  A strong awareness of Chinese culture and language would also be an advantage.
