Workstream Specialist
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is pleased to announce a new vacancy for a Workstream Specialist to join our prestigious mining client on a 12-month contract. In this role you will be working from Brisbane and supporting a project team responsible rolling out new maintenance strategies across multiple mining operations in Australia.
In this role you will provide support to the Maintenance Strategy Program assisting project managers with analysis, value approvals, tracking and reporting for allocated projects – primarily coal fixed plant maintenance projects.
Key accountabilities:
- Produce value estimates in accordance with company guidelines for all project benefits - cost, availability, culture and safety.
- Facilitate progression through approval processes by proving quality analysis, supporting information and timely engagement of approvers.
- Facilitate the development and tracking of project schedules to enable progress reporting
- Assist in the collation of project progress reports for business stakeholders
- Review project value estimates produced by others and facilitate progression through approval processes.
- Ensure tasks related to value calculation, tracking and reporting are included in project schedules and support project managers with progress updates and escalation of risks and issues.
- Produce project value reporting by collating and reviewing all project benefits, comparing to plans/budgets and undertaking variance analysis.
- Compile value trend information and provide advice regarding corrective actions.
- Develop reliable project value estimates for budget and forecast purposes.
- Provides value estimates information and guidance to impacted company Assets to assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Communicate and present on value realization as appropriate including weekly updates in value tracking system.
About you
With significant exposure to business change projects, you will have substantial experience in analysis, tracking and reporting across multiple projects within a fast-paced environment. Your ability to work with project teams, PMO, and Finance resources, along with your knowledge of financial analysis tools and methods, will enable your success in this role. Your attention to detail and proactivity are evident at all times.
Skills required
- Experience undertaking value analysis (or equivalent financial analysis) across multiple projects in a program environment.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as an effective team member as well as an energetic individual.
- Ability to support project managers with project reporting requirements.
- Ability to execute tasks independently with minimal guidance.
- Great organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products.
- Ability to work to tight timeframes in a complex and demanding environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years financial analysis and budgeting experience
- Experience in a program environment in a large global organisation
- Highly proficient in SAP and BI reporting
- Highly proficient in developing MS Excel financial models
- Highly proficient in developing MS Powerpoint packs
- Professional Accounting and/or Project Management qualifications are desirable
- Proficient in developing MS project schedules
