Role Overview
Reporting to the GM Finance, This Financial Controller will lead all internal and external reporting requirements across ANZ. This will involve leading and developing a team of 8 to delivery timely and insightful reporting. As the Financial Controller, you will have end to end accountability to delivering month end across multiples sites for Australia and NZ as well as leading the budgeting, forecasting and P&L analysis across the whole organisation. A ley part of your role will also involve you leading SOX compliance and Statutory reporting (IFRS and USGAAP) on a quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
There is a huge opportunity for you to lead key projects. Specifically, this will include partnering with Operational stakeholders in building a core analytical and business partnering function. Beyond this key projects, as the Financial Controller you will have an opportunity to standarise and automate core finance processes. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to become a Finance Transformation Manager beyond the 18 month contract term.
Responsibilities
As Financial Accounting Manager you will be responsible for:
• Leading and mentoring a team of 8 Divisional and Assistant Accountants
• Delivery of month end reporting across 7 states and 2 countries
• Leading the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts
• Delivery of all corporate reporting and compliance matters
• Deliver insights through business partnering with Operational Stakeholders
• Drive process and systems improvements
• Ensure on-going SOX compliance as per US requirements
• Fixed Assets Management
Candidate Profile
You are CA/CPA qualified with significant experience in leading and managing teams. Ideally you have depth of experience in delivering month end and statutory reporting in a US listed organisation. Your strength lies in leading teams, effective communication and your ability to drive value through process excellence. You have led complex budgeting and forecasting at a business unit level and have a natural flair at engaging with operational stakeholders. Your technical accounting skills are impeccable and this demonstrated through your experience from listed environments.
