Experience Accountant sought for wholesale importing, sales and servicing organisation in Geelong.
Your new company
This Family owned Australian business imports high end products from overseas then sells and services said products. They are market leading and have a loyal customers base across Australia. Due to growth they are now looking for an experienced Accountant to head up the North Geelong based finance team of only two. This is a important role to the business incorporating all management and financial accounting work for a successful SME.
Your new role
As well as managing a small team, this role will incorporate all aspects of financial reporting and management reporting; Profit & Loss and balance sheet reconciliations; budgeting and forecasting; monthly and year end payroll tax and FBT; BAS preparation; costing and sales analysis; working with auditors and other key stakeholders; maintenance of the company‘s IT system and the company‘s compliance and office procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a hands on job with daily communication with senior management and involvement in decision making. This position would ideally suit a mix of someone from an SME background who has experience as a Company Accountant for a smaller business as well as someone experienced in a corporate role in a large organisation with overseas reporting. CA /CPA qualification is highly desired.
