About the business and the role
We are a professional and growing accounting practice based in the eastern suburbs and are looking for a full time accountant with great taxation knowledge and analytical skills to join our friendly team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a diverse range of small to medium sized businesses along with a smaller number of individual clients. This is a relatively autonomous position and will involve working directly with clients, however you will also have full access to and support from the firms Partner.
The successful candidate should possess the following skills -
- Experience and strong knowledge of company, trust and individual taxation, accounting and compliance.
- Excellent knowledge and experience using CCH iFirm would be an advantage, however is not a requirement as training can be provided.
- Knowledge of Xero and other cloud based software would be an advantage.
- Mature and friendly personality able to deal direct with numerous clients and other accountants within our firm.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns for Companies, Trusts and Individuals.
- Liasing directly with clients and assisting with cloud based software.
- Preparation of interim management reports using add on cloud software
Skills and experience
- Minimum 2-3 years Public Practice experience
- Friendly and confident nature able to converse direct with clients
- Excellent Taxation knowledge
- Excellent time management and communication skills
