We are representing a famous Australian manufacturer of premium still wine, now part of a highly respected European wine producer. This role has some real scope and challenge to it, enabling you to be a true “right hand person” to the Executive Director. There are also genuine opportunities for career progression.
SME sized locally and a market leader, the company operates substantial wineries in Victoria and South Australia and distributes product through a number of well-known brands Australia wide and exported around the world. Distribution is through both large retailers and to Independents. The company is regarded for its quality and has further recently secured a renowned senior winemaker. With an administrative headquarters in Melbourne and trusted regional autonomy, linking up with this organisation enables you to apply your craft with highly visible commercial impact, whilst also providing the exposure to a broad range of financial factors including foreign exchange, global reporting, logistics as well as product and distribution channel reporting. It really does represent an engaging opportunity for a developing and talented Accountant.
This is a dynamic business, with a commitment to further enhancement of its wine making capabilities and you will work closely with the Executive Director and Sales and Marketing teams. This is a hands-on role with broad responsibilities encompassing:
- Working with the Executive Director in overseeing the finance and administration functions of the business.
- Management of end of month processes including financial reporting, stock control and monthly BAS/PAYG
- Review and management of all product costing requirements.
- Managing the company payroll function
- Monthly cash flow reporting, management of debtors and overall assisting in treasury decisions.
- Develop and maintain a key suite of management reports including sales analysis reporting.
- Leading a small, dedicated finance and administration team
