A leading Australian organisation requires an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their Sydney CBD based team on an initial 3-month contract, with likely extensions.
This pivotal role will act as the SME and primary contact point for all aspects of the Accounts Payable function.
The Accounts Payable Team Leader must have a good understanding of Accounting principles, incorporating strong Procure-to-Pay experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Resolve AP related bank reconciliation items in conjunction with offshore finance team
• Review and resolve aged GRIR and ATB items in accordance with business processes and guidelines
• Proactively monitor critical payments to ensure no penalties or impact on the business because of missed payment
• Understand the risks and controls within AP and ensure operations are delivered in line with these controls
• Support internal/external audit with AP related reviews and documentation as required
• Issue Resolution and Query Management
Key Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce or related discipline
• Proven experience in managing teams through organisational change
• SAP knowledge desirable
• Six Sigma certification desirable
