The Firm
Our client is a highly reputable and energetic mid-sized Certified Practicing Accounting firm based inner south of the CBD. They have a strong emphasis on work-life balance and giving their employees the opportunity to grow their career. Our client has an enviable client base of large privately owned businesses and SME's with turnovers of up to $100 million.

Their approach as a business is to provide innovative advice to clients and that is also inherent in their internal structure. Due to the complexity of their clients and an increase in workflow, this firm now needs a switched on Intermediate / Senior Accountant to take on a new challenge within a friendly and supportive environment where you will feel empowered and desire to excel.

About the Role
This role is for an Intermediate / Senior Accountant with a minimum of 4 years previous local business services and tax experience. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients and be part of a young, dynamic and enthusiastic accounting team.

You will deal with your clients directly - face to face, email and over the phone. Mentoring and training are taken seriously as well as supporting you with your CA/CPA studies. Additional onsite and external training are also provided. Your role will also include:

• General Business Accounting & Taxation
• Multi-Million Dollar accounts
• BAS / IAS
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Tax Returns and Statements for Companies, Partnerships, Trusts & SMSF's
• Understanding of complex tax issues CGT, FBT, GST
• Taxation Advice

About You

• Have a minimum 4+ years' experience 
• Have competed or be near completion of CA/CPA 
• Have a strong background in Business Services/Tax
• Have excellent/fluent spoken and written English skills
• Have a passion to excel in your role
• Have experience with XERO and MYOB
• Have a proactive attitude and a desire for more client interaction
