Group Accountant

Full Time (part-time by negotiation)

Aviair and HeliSpirit are leading aviation companies with headquarters in Kununurra, and other key bases in Broome and Karratha, WA. Combining fixed wing and rotary aviation, the two companies provide charter services, scenic flights and regular public transport from numerous bases across the Kimberley, Pilbara and Northern Territory. Both companies also operate their own aircraft maintenance facilities and jointly manage a fleet of more than fifty aircraft. They are also affiliated with several other tourism businesses operating across the Kimberley, including Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge and Bungle Bungle Guided Tours.

Aviair and HeliSpirit are seeking a Group Accountant to join their team.

The Group Accountant will be located in Kununurra (or potentially Broome), with this role suiting someone after the once-in-a-lifetime adventure the Kimberley region offers!

The role will oversee the preparation of entity and group budgets, provide timely management reports and external financial obligations, as well as ad-hoc finance reporting.

In consultation with the Finance & HR Manager, and as part of the Finance Team, you will also assist in the general finance function including accounts receivable, general accounting, financial administration, and monthly benchmarking.

Skills / Qualifications Required

• Accounting Qualifications (CPA, CA preferred)
• Demonstrated Financial Experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in MYOB or equivalent, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Ability to work in and positively contribute to a team environment
• The ability to work independently
