The Company
We are a dynamic, fun and growing ski tour and travel agency located in Melbourne. We specialising in guided ski and snowboard tours and holidays to ski Japan & New Zealand. We have local offices in Japan providing guiding, hosting and guest services for our tours as well as running a lodge, cafes and bars.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with finance/accountancy knowledge to join our company. With operations in Japan and New Zealand this position could see you travelling to Japan and evolving with the company as it grows. The role includes, but is not limited to:

Accounts Payable (including a high volume of international transactions)

Accounts Receivable
-
Monthly lodgement of BAS returns
-
Payroll/Superannuation/PAYG in Australia, Japan and NZ

Bank Reconciliations (both Trust and operating accounts)

Data Entry
-
Coding of payments and receipts
-
Construction of excel templates to be used by operational staff

Preparation of year end and monthly financial statements

Analytical reporting on business performance
-
Preparation of accounts to Trail Balance Stage
-
Working with senior management
-
Other ad hoc duties as required
This role will suit an experienced Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant who would like working in a small company environment with 3-5 years' experience. You will be highly experienced in general bookkeeping duties along with the preparation of financial statements. You will also possess the following:

Accounting qualification

Xero experience (preferable)

Experience in the travel industry (desired but not essential)

Ability to work independently
-
Work with a high level of accuracy whilst under pressure
This is a part time role within a friendly work environment with flexibility in relation to the hours worked. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
