Dion Lee is Australia’s highly respected designer brand established in 2009 by its eponymous Creative Director. Renowned for experimental construction combined with traditional tailoring, Dion Lee has pioneered a modern identity for Australian fashion internationally.
After debuting at Australia Fashion Week, Dion presented his collections in London before relocating to New York, where the brand has become a permanent fixture on the “shows” schedule.
The brand is sold globally in over 80 of the world's most exclusive retailers including Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges and David Jones and operates eight stores in Australia.
A rare opportunity has become available for a General Manager to join and lead the Dion Lee business. Working in Sydney, you will be managing the finance function of the business, and have oversight of retail, wholesale and marketing teams. You will work with the board to set the company’s strategic vision and execute direction for long term growth through new store locations, new sales channels and markets. You will maintain smooth operation of logistics and supply chain, driving cost and timeline efficiencies and Co-ordinate the design, sales and retail teams to deliver the right balance of creative and commercial product, to deadline and on budget.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside and closely with Dion himself during his frequent visits to Sydney. An awareness of modern luxe design is important as you will have the opportunity to assist in product management with Dion and the local Dion Lee Stores team.
To be successful in the role, you will be a senior and influential individual with experience as a General Manager or similar within a luxury retail brand with a Bachelor of Business or similar (background in finance is highly regarded).
