Creche and Kindergarten Association (C&K) delivers early childhood education and care and is recognised as one of Australia’s leading providers of early years’ programs. Since 1907 the organisation has grown, developed its social purpose agenda and now educates children in 360 centres, comprising branches and affiliates, across Queensland. In recent times this not-for-profit association has broadened its traditional kindergarten service offering to include long day care options to meet the changing needs of parents and their children.
As CEO, you must be willing to challenge the status quo and create a bold strategic vision that builds on C&K’s history, yet “dreams big”. An innovative, creative strategic plan using market leading research is required to ensure C&K continues to be the market leader in Queensland. Reporting to the Board, you will ensure the organisation operates optimally, instil accountability at all levels, and execute the strategic vision within agreed timeframes. Your ability to motivate and inspire the Executive leadership team, the operational teams at head office and the early childhood education and care centres to embrace a cohesive and collaborative culture will be crucial in your success.
You understand the importance of delivering exceptional service to your client base that exceeds expectations and will drive this enterprise wide agenda to enhance the reputation and brand loyalty of C&K. You must effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, so they view C&K as a critical partner worthy of engagement because of the value C&K brings to the relationship.
An experienced Executive with a proven track record of innovative leadership in a comparable sized complex organization is desired. Equally important is a leader who is empathetic and inspiring who can embed a vibrant, positive culture where people are engaged and motivated to succeed. Your strong financial and commercial capability and strategic thinking have aided your ability to manage a remote workforce operating in numerous geographical locations.
Your career highlights exceptional advocacy and influencing skills and political awareness and astuteness to establish sound working relationships at all levels of government. You are an energetic, enthusiastic doer who listens and consults with stakeholders before making timely and decisive decision on the best course of action. Prior knowledge of and experience in the sector will be an advantage but is not essential. Tertiary qualifications and a Blue Card are mandatory requirements.
