About the business

Radiant is a digital platform for assisting people to get help for their problems in mental wellbeing. Radiant puts people in charge of their own therapy options by presenting them with a selection of therapists best suited to their particular concerns and preferences.  Radiant has been developed by RASE Pty Ltd, a spin-off from counselling group Relationships Australia NSW.  Development of Radiant is close to completion and it will soon be ready for public launch.

We are seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial individual to take the Radiant business through its next exciting phase.  The appointee will report directly to the Board of Directors of RASE.  He/she will drive the ongoing development of the platform, build its marketing and relationships management capabilities, and expand the register of professional service providers in parallel with rapidly increasing enquiries from help-seekers.

The appointee will manage a small team as well as drawing on the expertise of and working with key members of the RANSW staff.

The Operations component of the role will involve:

  • developing and delivering strategies and goals for Radiant, in the context of its competitive environment
  • working with contracted IT providers to ensure effective operation and further development of the platform,
  • building customer relationship capabilities,
  • managing and reporting on Radiant's finances
  • supervising junior and part time staff.

The Business Development component of the role will involve:

  • Building and managing key customer relationships - both clients and therapists
  • Building a strong flow of clients seeking help through the platform, and practitioners as service providers, through marketing, and engaging partners and sponsors
  • negotiating key relationships with and closing agreements with organisations whose brand can help direct clients to Radiant

Benefits and perks

This role provides an unusual opportunity for a person with appropriate skills and flexibility but with relatively limited working experience to take a leadership role in bringing a new commercial enterprise to market.  The position has a starting salary of around $100,000 including superannuation.  The responsibilities and nature of the role are expected to grow with business success. Introduction of an Employee Share Option scheme, currently under discussion, would allow the appointee to share in the future success of the Radiant platform.

Skills and experience

The appointee would be expected to have a degree or equivalent in an appropriate area, and 3-5 years of experience working in customer-focused sales, marketing, management or IT development, preferably in an entrepreneurial/start-up environment.

Experience in one or more of social media marketing, networking, market research, data analysis, or user experience, and well developed writing and speaking skills would also be desirable.
