About the role

We are happy to bring to market an exciting opportunity to work with a new and fast-growing tech start-up focused on Mobile and Fixed Plant Equipment Service & Maintenance industry.

This product is new, innovative and solves an identified problem in this space and we are looking for a driven BDM to join our growing team from the HQ in Perth. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious team player who loves all things new technology, already has experience and knowledge of the industry and can build business relationships with new and existing clients effectively.

Working alongside the existing management team, the role's day to day will focus on building new sales relationships nationally, concentrating on small to medium sized businesses initially in the transport / trucking industry and then branching out into other Verticals and Horizontals as the company grows.

This role would suit a person who has a large amount of experience and contacts and is looking for a different challenge by working in a growing tech Start-Up style business. Ideally someone who isn't afraid to get on the phone, able to speak to all levels of business contacts and has experience in using or running internal systems for businesses in the transport and equipment industry.

Offering Part time or a full-time role, negotiable remuneration and commission with opportunity to grow within the company and become an essential part of the team.

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

  • New Business Development in Perth, but sales Nationally. (Don't have to be based in Perth to apply)
  • Approaching and visiting new potential clients and customers.
  • 80% BDM 20% Account Management.
  • Keeping up to date on new technology advances and market trends.
  • Following up with clients on the experience for them so far and discussing potential improvements.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience and general understanding of Software used in the Transport and Equipment industry.
  • An understanding of the Transport and Equipment Servicing and Maintenance Landscape.
  • Able to manage multiple prospects and accounts at the same time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across any industry.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Perfect for someone who has worked in the Equipment transport industry and is looking for a new opportunity.
