Our client is a leading specialist provider of industrial engineering and maintenance services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Our client is seeking a Business Development/Relationships Manager to be permanently based in the Hunter Valley and be responsible
 for executing business development activities in line with the company’s strategic initiatives for both immediate and long term commercial success.

The primary role of the Business Development/Relationships Manager is to prospect for new clients and develop rapport to sustain these new business relationships whilst simultaneously growing existing accounts by presenting new and innovative solutions with existing customers within the NSW regional

Strategic planning is a key part of this job description in developing the pipeline of new business and ensuring market knowledge is utilised in refining our product by generating solutions to set us apart from our competitors.

In order to succeed in this challenging role you will require a solid background within the engineering and maintenance services environment to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.as well as demonstrable experience in developing long term business relationships with clients and customers, as well as a demonstrated commitment to safety. 

Reporting to the NSW Operations Manager, this role is pivotal for the success and growth of the operation.

Your profile:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Business Development role at a Managerial level is essential
  • Demonstrated track record of development and implementing sales and marketing strategies and growing an existing client base in line with business strategy targets       
  • Commerciality and outcomes-focused, being adaptable to a continuously changing environment in a company of fast growth and market share   
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional polish and an ability to work with a diverse range of clients         ·
  • Relevant engineering or trade background and/or qualification is desirable         ·
